Martha Stone

	Martha Stone, 92, of Oraville, died on June 6. 2003 at the Jackson County Rehab & Care Center in Murphysboro.
	She was born September 10, 1910 to Florence and Alice Brown in Jonesboro.  She married Ford Stone on September 22, 1927 at Cairo.  Her membership included the Oraville Methodist Church.
	Martha will be fondly remembered by family and friends as 'Mammy', a nickname given to her by her first grandchild, Nathy.
	Mammy will always be in our hearts and remembered for her love and devotion to family, kindness to all and many great meals for friends and family.
	Survivors include her daughter & son-in-law, Joann and Don Weis of Du Quoin; granddaughter & husband, Nathalie & Greg Williams of Wildwood, Mo.; grandsons, Todd Weis of Webster Groves, Mo., Toby and wife Diana Hoover of Marion and Travis Weis of San Diego, Calif.; step-granddaughter, Jeanine Conner of Collinsville; step-grandson, Bill Stone of Orlando, Fla.; great-grandchildren, Corey, Christian, Hunter, Lauren, Jenna, Connor, Krista & Brittani; a sister, Alice Mae West of Anna and several nieces and nephews.
	She was preceded in death by her husband, Ford Stone; daughter, Shirley Hoover; step-son, Gilbert Stone; two brothers and four sisters.
	Services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 11 at Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava.  Burial was in the Jonesboro City Cemetery with committal service at 1 p.m. Wednesday.
	Visitation was Tuesday, June 10 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at  Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava.
